The Kenya National Examination Council, KNEC, has published KCSE 2020 timetable that will guide this year’s examination for form 4s, instructions, and guidelines. This comes at a moment when projects for group IV subjects are already underway. KCSE 2020 Examination kicked off in January with the candidates being examined on group IV subjects.
KNEC has shown that candidates are expected to upload their total marks in two milestones.
“Schools should upload the marks for subjects with a Project component by 31st March for Milestone 1 and 15th July for Milestone 2”, states KNEC CEO Dr. Mercy Gathigia Karogo
According to the examination council, all first session examination papers will commence at 8.00 a.m. The start time for second sitting examination papers is as shown on the timetable.
KCSE 2020 candidates will take their initial sit-in exam on Monday, 2nd November 2020. English (101/1), that is, Functional writing skills will be the first exam in the morning with English (101/2) (for Comprehension, Literary Appreciation & Grammar) coming later in the day.
The three-week exercise will come to an end on Wednesday, 25th November 2020.
KCSE 2020 Supervisors and Invigilators
Just like in the case of previous years, supervisors and Invigilators will see to it that candidates have written their names, correct index numbers and have signed on their answer scripts before they collect the answer scripts from every candidate while the candidates are advised to ensure that they only take the subjects they are registered for.
The time allowed for each paper will be indicated against the name of the paper, and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED for any exams. In case of any discrepancy, the time stated on the question paper should be taken as the exact one.
In addition, KNEC has announced that time for browsing through questions is part of the time shown on the question paper except where special paper instructions indicate otherwise.
